Orem City staff has been working with our consultant team, IBI Group, and representatives from UDOT, UTA, Provo City, and Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) since August to produce the following concepts related to the State Street Plan. These ideas are based on best practices that have worked in other cities around the country and in Utah; public feedback from MindMixer, Facebook, Open Houses, and other meetings; and direction from the City Council. These ideas will continue to be revised as we work on implementation strategies and timelines for the project and the continued public feedback we receive. Take some time to review these concepts and let us know if you have any questions! You can find the complete report on the link below.
State Street Plan Draft Report: 2015 04 23 Orem Final Report 11×17
Orem has a heritage and history of growing things:
crops, ideas, innovation, businesses, families.
The main goal of the State Street Master Plan is to strategically leverage infrastructure, land use patterns, and density to reap economic benefit while creating attractive and identifiable environments to live and work.
The plan will also focus on improving transportation, land use, and neighborhoods, while beautifying the State Street corridor.
But the city can’t do all this alone. They need your help. Get involved in the reinvention process by signing up for MindMixer, a tool that lets you speak directly to city officials.
With your help, State Street can become the path to a better Orem.
